Born and raised in rural Colorado, with a German heritage background, I have always appreciated the lifestyle of those that settled the prairie lands. My calling has been to tell the story of those who came before me. I married a farm boy who knows nothing else but to farm and ranch.  We grow wheat, corn, pinto beans, and have a 200 cow-calf operation. Brian and I have two beautiful daughters who are married now and live in the big city of Denver, CO. We have added four new grandchildren to the family, and I love being "Grammie."  I taught elementary school for about 10 years but retired that position to raise my girls.  We are both very active in our local church in a neighboring community.  I teach bible study every Friday to a group of awesome ladies.  I love to cook (my German grandma taught me) and straw bale gardening is my passion in the summer months.
